Using the Power of Meditation for Job Burnout
This workshop will provide healthcare professionals with academic and experiential knowledge
of meditation principles for the prevention of job burnout.
The benefits of releasing the physical, mental, and emotional effects of stress will also be discussed. You will develop the knowledge base and skill-building required of integrative nursing and complementary/alternative modalities (CAM) within an evidenced-based practice model; and how they can be used for personal and professional excellence.
After attending this workshop you will be able to:
1. Recognize the signs & symptoms of stress.
- Discuss research demonstrating the impact of the mind on the body.
- Explain the effects of meditation on the nervous system.
- Describe meditative techniques for management and prevention of burnout.
- Break negative thought patterns.
