I was born and raised in India. At the age of 18 years old I got married through arranged marriage. Then I came to USA in 1985 and since then I’ve remained in the United States. I have two wonderful children, son and a daughter. During the different phases of life (being a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt ) I had many experiences in life from which I grew spiritually. It was a great learning experience.
In 1989 My son, my husband and I went to India to disperse my mother in law’s ashes as it is one of the Hindu tradition process. My husband came back to USA right after the ceremony was done and my son (who was two years old at that time) and I stayed over because my brother had couple of exams to complete in his senior year of high school and wanted to visit USA for the first time during his school break.
On April 11th 1989 at 7:30 in the morning we were on our way from visiting temple asking for blessings from the priest and going to the city to pick up my brother’s passport and get the tickets for him to visit USA with me. It was such a great feeling because he would always argue with my mom that “why does Sangita have to stay so far away? Why can’t I play with my nephew?” On March 22nd we were in India so we celebrated my son’s second birthday and at that time who knew that it would be my brothers last one to be a part of the birthday celebrations.
So on April 11th 1989 car accident happened just before picking my brother’s passport. And our lives shattered and changed completely forever.
Fast forward to 2013 February, I was attending I Can Do It convention and had a chance to share my day with awesome speakers like Louis Hay, Dr Wayne Dyer, Cheryl Richardson, Doreen Virtue, Nick Ortner, Anita Moorjani and many more. I was inspired to write a book and that’s when my new book’s seed was planted and one year later, “Embrace Your Inner Self” was released.
