You are here: / / The Power of Radical Forgiveness: How to Forgive Everyone for Everything
Who do you have in YOUR life that you need to forgive? How would it change your life to forgive and release any anger, resentment, hatred or other negative emotions that you carry, towards BOTH others as well as yourself? (Don’t forget the forgiving yourself part!)
Do you know what’s really holding you back? What events, beliefs, or deep-seeded emotions do you have from your past that are holding you back? Are you aware of how they’re limiting you today? Are you doing anything to release the grip that they have over your life?
We all have people and events that we can think of that have caused us hurt, sometimes from decades ago, and sometimes from just days ago. Oftentimes we carry this hurt for years, not realizing how much it limits our every day life.
We all have events and people from our past that have caused us pain, both in large and small ways. That’s the nature of life.
How we address and process our memories, beliefs, and emotions about these events is what makes the difference in our lives. It’s what makes the difference between someone who is able to move forward with their life and see meaning in what happened, and someone who gets stuck because of the events, constantly carrying the pain, anger, resentment and other negative and limiting emotions with them throughout their life.
Ask yourself, what events do you have from your life that you believe formed your beliefs about the world and yourself? Do the memories of these events bring up positive or negative emotions?
“Everything in my life changed when I got rid of the hatred, the anger, the bitterness, the rage…I can attribute all of that to forgiveness.”
Forgiveness is never about saying something wasn’t wrong, it is saying that you will no longer allow it to have a hold over your life…forgiveness is about releasing the pain, hurt and other limitations from your body and mind.
Imagine what your life could be like if you didn’t have to carry around negative emotions, traumas, or limiting beliefs. Who would you be if you felt truly whole, with no fear holding you back?
Two major techniques that helped me with forgiveness is a Hawaiian prayer called Ho’oponopono Prayer and Tapping.
The prayer is :
I am Sorry
Please forgive me
I Love you
